Guided biking & MTB skills holidays Enjoy a short break on our farm, with Matt a qualified SMBLA guide and experience your own taste of adventure. We welcome all sorts from the complete novice with no kit to the seasoned biker with all the gear.
We welcome individuals, couples and small groups on all the weekends.
Non-cycling guests are just as welcome for a less active break with plenty to see and do in the area.
Food is the really special part and we feel quite proud to say that we source nearly all of our fresh ingredients from our organic market garden. Wholesome, vegetarian fare is the only one on the menu and rest assured that it will satisfy even the hungriest of carnivorous appetites.
Our biking breaks include 2 nights accommodation and 2 days guiding and coaching, full-board. We have a beautiful new green oak and stone cottage which sleeps 7 and a converted smithy which sleeps 19. Team participation, safety and fun are paramount when guiding groups so we have designed progressive courses to suit all abilities.
The Newbie
We see many people who've just got into biking on the trails with all the gear and no idea. Come on our course, ride in different environments before you shell out on kit you don't need or can't ride. See what bike and kit would really suit what YOU want to get out of mountain biking. We'll use our skills area on the farm to build the essential techniques then head out into the hills for some action and will cover:

Bike maintenance courses
With years of building and tinkering with his own bikes, guiding and for the last 6 years running a fleet of hire bikes Matt is a very experienced bike mechanic, both in the workshop and on the trailside.
Look after your bike well and you wont spend £100's on new parts and services & every ride piddlin' about with broken gears, substandard brakes and bits falling off. We'll supply tools and a bikestand and let you loose on some of our (older!) hire bikes or tune up your own.
You can tag this onto one of the courses or contact us for availability, day or evenings.
1/2 day basic bike maintenance and trailside repairs - £45 p/p, max 6 people
